Some of my paintings in the beautiful cafe/gallery No. 58, at 58 Waterport Road Port Elliot at the front of Waverly Estate.

things have changed a fair bit over the past few months and I'm not really sure why... my luck has changed a bit and for the first time for a long time i am feeling positive and confident about my painting.  It started with my SALA exhibition and has sort of taken off from there... I have had the confidence to make approaches (such as to Signature on Hastings in Noosa and Two Pairs in Adelaide) and those approaches have been met enthusiastically.  I now have prints selling in both these beautiful spaces.  I have also been approached to have paintings in This Fine Day in Adelaide and at No. 58 at Port Elliot.  As well as that, I have paintings in CoolArt Gallery in Coolum, the Middleton Beach Huts and prints in Coast by Design at Port Elliot.  Things are selling well and I am getting great comments from people on Facebook and in person.  Confidence is such a huge thing, especially in painting.  I still get overwhelmed with anxiety when delivering a commission, but I am getting the work and my work is being well received.  I am feeling like a very lucky man.  I am doing what I love and it is fiitting in with my family life which is so important to me.  I am loving life!

latest painting of a friend's little girl playing happily on the beach at Horseshoe Bay.  Running to the water, scooping up a bucket full, running back to a sand castle as the water spills and sloshes, tipping the few remaining droplets onto the sandcastle and running back to do the whole thing again.. and again.. completely unfazed, completely absorbed, in the moment, happy! Such beautiful times of innocence and unbridled happiness!

Had a great time at my SALA exhibition opening, and it was great to catch up with so many of my friends and family.  Beautiful wines provided on the night by Greg and Lenore of jb wines, thank you so much!  The exhibition was a great success with about 24 pieces sold.  Commissions for new works have been coming in steadily since and I am so happy to be able to justify more time doing what I love - painting!  I now have prints of a selection of my paintings for sale at Signature on Hastings, Hastings Street, Noosa, and I am also doing some new paintings that are going to be exhibited and on sale at CoolArt Gallery in Coolum, Queensland.  I have just finished the first of 4 large paintings that I am sending up there to be framed and hung - very exciting!

Sala exhibition 2012

i cant believe it's been so long since i posted anything.. i think i have been holding things back in anticipation of my upcoming exhibition. Well, it's now happening, with the opening night last Friday. A great night, about 70 people in attendance, lovely wines supplied by my good friends Lenore and Greg from jb wines in the Barossa.
