The inspiration for this painting was a war story about fighter pilots in an old Boys Own Annual. There doesn't seem to be as much art around for boys as there is for girls, so I'm going to try to do my little bit to correct the imbalance.

I quite like grafitti, in its place. I think it looks good on industrial surfaces. In suburbia I think the contrast with nature and tidiness works well. Like with everything else, nice lines are important.

i did this painting a while ago now of a border collie called Maggie. on the one long canvas i did 3 images of her in acrylics. her owner loved it.

The victor harbor lawn bowling club is right on the seafront, directly across from The Anchorage (the best coffee and best views from its verandah in victor). The port elliot bowling club is also positioned magificently overlooking Horseshoe Bay. Come to think of it, bowling clubs seem to invariably command amazing views throughout coastal Australia - how did they manage that?

How's this for a beautiful spring day? This is Kent, England. The sky was just so blue, big and beautiful.

new year in vietnam. beautiful blossom trees abound bringing luck and happiness. getting a tree home is no problem (clearly). I saw trees being taken onto domestic flights as carry on luggage...

I love saturday mornings at Victor; a late start after reading the papers and then walking down to the farmers marketto pick upsome bread and veggies and have a coffee. Afterwards i called in to Coast (homewares and magazines) on Coral Street and took some photos of a couple of paintings I have in there for sale on commission.

this is a painting i did of my daughter's dog Scout. Scout was a beautiful little dog much loved by all that knew her. She was a bit of an escape artist and had some near misses with traffic. Eventually about a year ago she ran out of luck. I'm glad i did this painting while she was still around.

i recently completed 3 small paintings of retro caravans. Today i took a picture of them hanging in our hallway. The resolution was pretty bad from my mobile phone camera but when i had the picture printed the result turned out to be quite interesting.

i saw these dogs at our local saturday morning market - they seem to know each other pretty well! Oh to be that comfortable with someone!
